Hello. Is this thing on?
Finding Inspiration in the Little Things
Some of my favorite ideas begin in the most ordinary places—a color I notice on a walk, an interesting shape in nature, or a quiet moment that sticks with me long after it's passed. Inspiration doesn't always arrive as a grand idea. More often, it's something small that makes me stop and look twice.
When I begin a new piece, I rarely know exactly where it will end up. I might start with a particular color palette or a loose sketch, but I love allowing the work to change as I go. Sometimes the unexpected details become my favorite parts.
Creating with Intention
For me, making art is as much about the process as the finished piece. There's something special about slowing down, working with my hands, and watching an idea gradually take shape.
I want each piece to feel thoughtful and personal while still leaving enough room for someone else to find their own meaning in it. Once a piece leaves my studio, it becomes part of someone else's space and story—and I think that's one of the most beautiful parts of creating art.
A Little Look Inside the Studio
My workspace isn't always perfectly organized (and usually has a few too many supplies scattered around), but it's where ideas become real. There are unfinished sketches, color experiments, reference photos, and pieces in every stage of the process.
Some days everything seems to come together effortlessly. Other days involve painting over something I was sure would work. Both are part of it.
Lately, I've been especially inspired by softer colors, organic forms, and the personality found in animals and nature. You'll probably see a little of that influence finding its way into upcoming pieces.
What's Next
I'm always experimenting, learning, and dreaming up something new. I'll be using this journal to share more of that process—new artwork, behind-the-scenes moments, inspiration, and probably the occasional creative detour.
Thanks for being here and following along. I can't wait to show you what I'm working on next. ♡
